This article will take you to understand the gold ore beneficiation method

Various types of gold ore have different beneficiation methods due to their different properties. However, gravity separation, flotation, mercury amalgamation, cyanidation, and in recent years, resin slurry method, carbon slurry adsorption method, heap leaching method, etc. are commonly used to extract gold. Craftsmanship. For certain types of ores, the joint gold extraction process is often used.

There are many gold selection process solutions used in production practice, and the following are usually used:

1. Reselection-cyanidation combined process
This process is suitable for oxidized ores where small amounts of monomeric gold are present. The raw ore is first gravity-selected, and the concentrate obtained by gravity-selection is directly smelted; the gravity-selected ore and tailings enter the cyanidation operation.

2. All-mud cyanidation (carbon slurry method) process
The ore is highly oxidized and the gold can be dissociated by exposure through conventional grinding. Such ores are most suitable for the all-mud cyanidation process. The carbon slurry method is one of the main methods for extracting gold and silver. Extracting gold using this method has the advantages of simple process, high recovery rate, strong adaptability to ores, and the ability to produce gold on site, so it is widely used.
The carbon slurry method for gold extraction consists of four steps: leaching of gold-bearing ores in cyanide solution, adsorption of activated carbon, desorption and electrolysis of gold-loaded carbon, and smelting of gold mud. The disadvantage of this gold extraction method is that cyanide is a highly toxic substance and can easily pollute the environment. In practice, environmental protection and management must be strictly done.

3. Re-selection and flotation combined process
This process is to first use gravity separation to recover coarse gold in the ore, and then use gravity separation to flotate the tailings. This process is suitable for processing ores containing a small amount of coarse grains or single gold and sulfide-coated gold.

4. Flotation-cyanidation combined process
There are three different options for this process:
(1) Flotation-concentrate cyanidation process. It is suitable for processing ores where gold and sulfide have a close symbiotic relationship and where gold is easily dissociated and exposed by conventional grinding.
(2) Flotation-roasting-cyanation process. This process is suitable for processing ores where gold is wrapped in sulfide in a fine-grained state and conventional grinding cannot expose the gold.
(3) Flotation-tailings cyanidation process. This process is suitable for processing some ores where the symbiotic relationship between gold and sulfide is close and the gold is not easily dissociated and exposed, and the other part of the ore where the symbiotic relationship between gold and sulfide is not close.

5.Single flotation process
This process is suitable for processing sulfide gold-bearing quartz vein ores, polymetallic gold-bearing sulfide ores and carbon-bearing (graphite) ores that have a close symbiosis between gold and sulfide and have high floatability.

6. Flotation-reselection combined process
This process is mainly based on flotation method and is suitable for ores with close symbiosis between gold and sulfide. It is also suitable for gold-bearing quartz vein ores with uneven thickness and fineness, and can achieve a higher recovery rate than single flotation.
