On April 15, the 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) kicked off in Guangzhou. On the basis of last year’s exhibition area and number of exhibitors reaching new highs, the scale of the Canton Fair has grown significantly again this year, with a total of 29,000 exhibitors, continuing the overall trend of becoming more lively year by year. According to media statistics, more than 20,000 overseas buyers poured in just one hour before the museum opened, 40% of which were new buyers. At a time when the turmoil in the Middle East has caused concerns in the international market, the grand and lively opening of the Canton Fair has brought certainty to global trade.
Today, the Canton Fair has grown from a window for manufacturing in China to a platform for manufacturing in the world. In particular, the first phase of this Canton Fair takes “Advanced Manufacturing” as its theme, highlighting advanced industries and technological support, and demonstrating new productivity. There are more than 5,500 high-quality and characteristic enterprises with titles such as national high-tech, manufacturing individual champions, and specialized and new “little giants”, an increase of 20% over the previous session.
At the same time as the opening of this Canton Fair, German Chancellor Scholz was leading a large delegation to visit China, and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce delegation was discussing economic and trade cooperation issues with their Italian counterparts.On a larger level, projects in cooperating countries along the “Belt and Road” have been launched one after another. Business elites from all over the world are on flights to and from China. Cooperation with China has become a trend.
